Happy Thanksgiving

We went to the Hilton on Singer Island for the Thanksgiving Buffet. We got our turkey and stuffing minus the cranberry sauce - they had eat-n-peel shrimp instead. We wish we could all be together on this Thanksgiving Day - See you soon. Love Wayne and Susan.

Night Photography

If anyone has tried to take photography at night you will know how difficult it is. I told Susan that the Full Moon was upon us tomorrow night; but, tonight was going to be spectacular. In the old days of shooting film - you only had 36 exposures per roll of film. Develope the rolls - make a contact sheet - take a loupe and select the shots. Then off to the darkroom for the adjustment -dodging - burning.Times have changed - technology has changed. Now, we shoot as many as we want - download into Photoshop and make adjustments - and Voila . . . the photo is there. Michael and I were on the balcony and decided to shoot Singer Island tonight. Michael has been really getting into timed photography - I said, "Michael, show me what you have learned - Michael is the best - Pratt Institute Whiz-Kid - Picks up anything/makes art. Wayne is old VCU/WIU - was the Whiz-Kid - needs to learn new technology and new techniques - Full moon night - we had our Nikon Digital cameras - you can be quite cavalier as we have 750 photo possibilities with the 2 gig chip. Michael is giving me lessons. The shots were non-stop after I got the hang of the new interface. The Moon is rising and we are shooting - you can hear the shutter and Michael explains, " the computer in the camera is assimilating the information. I'm here to tell you, "You can teach an old Dog new tricks".

The Party Continues - Olivia Joins Air Force

Our friend and colleague joined the Air Force. We don't know why. She just did.
We had a going away party - everyone came. We will miss her so much. Olivia, we love you. There she goes . . . into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun! (Give 'er the gun now!)
Down we dive, spouting our flame from under,
Off with one helluva roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey!
Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!

Good Luck Olivia - We love you - Sunday snorkeling will not be the same without you
